Our Approach
Multiple Intelligence
One of Rajasthan's leading boys' boarding and day schools - where CBSE academics, life skills and character building come together since 1935.
The Idea
Every child is gifted - just not in the same way.
At SHANA, we believe intelligence isn't a single number. Drawing on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, we recognise that children think and learn in many different ways - some through words, others through numbers, pictures, movement, music, people or nature.
So instead of teaching every child the same way, we teach in ways that reach each child - helping every boy discover where he is strong, and grow with confidence.
Eight Ways of Knowing
The Many Faces of Intelligence
We design learning to engage and strengthen each of these intelligences in every child.
Linguistic
Learning through reading, writing, storytelling and discussion.
Logical–Mathematical
Reasoning, patterns, problem-solving and experiments.
Spatial
Thinking in images, design, maps and visual creativity.
Bodily–Kinesthetic
Learning by doing, movement, sport and hands-on work.
Musical
Rhythm, melody and learning through sound and song.
Interpersonal
Collaboration, empathy and learning with others.
Intrapersonal
Self-awareness, reflection and understanding one's own mind.
Naturalistic
Curiosity about the natural world and the environment.
In Practice
How We Nurture It
Multiple intelligence isn't a theory on a wall - it shapes how we teach, every day.
Varied teaching methods
The same concept is taught through stories, visuals, activities and discussion - so it reaches every kind of learner in the room.
Strengths spotted early
Our teachers observe and identify each child's natural strengths, then build on them to grow confidence and motivation.
Learning beyond the textbook
Clubs, sport, music, art and projects give every intelligence a real space to develop - not just the academic ones.
Every child made to feel capable
When children learn the way they're wired to, they stop feeling "not good at school" and start believing in themselves.
